How to become a Safe Combat certified club?
𝟏. 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐀𝐅𝐄 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐁𝐀𝐓 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦 www.safecombat.eu
- Download the Safeguarding Code.
- Adopt it as part of your club’s daily practice.
- Share it with all members of your club staff.
𝟐. 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐛’𝐬 𝐝𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧
Submitting the following documents would be necessary:
- Proof of club registration and membership in the national sports federation.
- A declaration confirming that your club has officially adopted the Safeguarding Code.
- A declaration confirming that your club has appointed a Safeguarding Officer, responsible for monitoring safeguarding matters and managing reported concerns.
𝟑. Sign up and complete online course
- Access the online course through the same platform.
- Sign in (make your own club’s profile).
- Remember username and password, so you can get back whenever you want.
- The course takes approximately three hours to complete and can be finished in multiple sessions at your own pace. It introduces the fundamental principles of safeguarding and responsible practices for working with athletes.
4. Certification
Once the SAFE COMBAT Certification Committee reviews your application and confirms that all requirements have been met, your club will be awarded the SAFE COMBAT LABEL.
This certification demonstrates that your club meets high safeguarding and operational standards, providing confidence to athletes, parents, and the wider community that your club is committed to creating a safe, respectful, and responsible sporting environment. It shows your commitment to protecting athletes, educating coaches, and having the holistic approach to the sport development in your club.
