WADA – World Anti-Doping Agency
MONTREAL, 1 SEPTEMBER 2015
Dear Stakeholders,
On 14 September 2015, as part of its role of providing guidance to Anti-Doping Organisations (ADOs), WADA will publish a PROHIBITED ASSOCIATION LIST OF ATHLETE SUPPORT PERSONNEL THAT HAVE ‘DISQUALIFYING
STATUS’ under Article 2.10 of the 2015 WORLD ANTI-DOPING CODE.
The List, which has been created based on case decisions and information you provided as Anti-Doping Organisations (ADOs), illustrates that 120 Athlete Support Personnel worldwide are currently disqualified from working with Athletes or other Persons under Article 2.10 of the Code (‘Prohibited Association’).
We ask that you please verify the List for accuracy, including details on the end dates for the listed suspensions, and inform WADA of any criminal, disciplinary or professional sanction that you are aware of imposed in accordance with Article 2.10.2 of the Code. If you wish to add further individuals to the List that are under your organisation’s jurisdiction, or if you are aware of any other individuals that should be included on the List, please advise us by emailing [email protected] with the following details:
• Name of Athlete Support Person
• Nationality
• Suspension end date
• Copy of the decision (if available)
In addition, we ask that you inform us if any individual has been incorrectly included on the List and, where applicable, provide any supporting justifications for their removal.
The List is for general information purposes only and has been established based on decisions and information that has been received by WADA from you, the ADOs. Consequently, WADA cannot attest to the completeness, accuracy or reliability of the List, and will not be responsible for any consequences resulting from inaccurate reproduction of the List by a third party. In addition, WADA’s publication of the List shall not be considered as formal written, advance notice to Athletes or other Persons of an Athlete Support Person’s disqualifying status and the potential consequences of prohibited association.
The List will be updated on WADA’s website on a quarterly basis or more frequently as new information is provided by ADOs.
Best regards,
World Anti-Doping Agency
