A new chapter has begun for Bulgarian kickboxing and Muay Thai, following the Extraordinary Elective General Assembly of the Bulgarian Confederation of Kickboxing and Muay Thai.
Mr. Mario Ivanov was unanimously elected President by the member clubs, receiving a strong mandate to lead the Confederation into its next phase of development.
President Ivanov earned the trust of the Bulgarian kickboxing community through a forward-looking program focused on professionalism, transparency, and sustainable growth. His vision includes stronger cooperation with clubs, improved governance, athlete development, and the continued promotion of kickboxing and Muay Thai at every level.
The General Assembly also elected a new Board of Directors, bringing together experienced and dedicated individuals committed to strengthening the Confederation and further advancing the sport in Bulgaria.
This leadership transition marks the beginning of a new era for Bulgarian kickboxing. With a clear strategic vision, renewed energy, and the strong support of its member clubs, the Confederation is committed to building a modern, transparent, and athlete-centered organization while continuing to develop both grassroots participation and high-performance success.
WAKO President Roy Baker congratulates President Mario Ivanov and the newly elected Board of Directors, wishing them every success as they lead Bulgarian kickboxing and looking forward to work together in developing kickboxing in Bulgaria, Europe and in the wider community and WAKO family.
He thanked the previous President Galin Dimov for his contribution for developing sport of kickboxing in Bulgaria
