The Executive Committee of the Czech Olympic Committee has officially recognized the national kickboxing federation (WAKO CZE) as the sole representative of the sport of kickboxing in the Czech Republic.
The decision was made on 30 April 2026, following a review of the recommendation submitted by the Commission for Non-Olympic Sports. After thorough discussion, the proposal was approved by a vote of the Executive Committee members.
With this recognition, the federation will be acknowledged by the Czech Olympic Committee as the official governing body for kickboxing in the country, marking an important step in strengthening the sport’s institutional status and development at the national level.
