WAKO Europe has opened the bid host city process for the MAJOR EVENTS:
– 2027 Children, Cadets and Juniors European Championship (All Disciplines)
– 2028 Senior and Master European Championship (all Disciplines)
National federations interested in organization of these major events, are kindly asked to refer to fulfill mandatory forms, providing the information that gives WAKO the full picture of their concept and their vision of the management of the event.
Process:
a. Bid Form has to be completed in FULL by Monday May 25th, 2026, and sent by e-mail to WAKO (IF) Administration only – administration@wako.sport – within and no later than the mentioned date.
b. Period and disciplines for the 2027 Children, Cadets and Juniors European Championship: from last two weeks of August, within first two weeks of September.
c. Period and disciplines for the 2028 Senior and Master European Championship: from second week of November, within first week of December
Disciplines: Para Kickboxing, Point Fighting, Light Contact, Kick Light, Full Contact, Low Kick, K-1, Forms.
Once the application forms has been received, a candidacies will be reviewed and revised by the WAKO Organizing Committee, who is authorized to undertake additional actions to review suitability of arena, hotels, and operational logistics, based on WAKO Events criteria.
At the final stage, after receiving the report of the WAKO Organizing Committee, the city (host country) will be selected and approved by the WAKO Board of Directors.
