April 12-14  was dedicated to international kickboxing as the German Open 2024 took place in Lünen. Under the patronage of the North Rhine-Westphalian Kickboxing Association and organized by TAN GUN Sports, the tournament attracted athletes from various countries and age groups to showcase their skills.

In disciplines such as Point fighting, Light Contact, Kick Light, Musical and Creative Forms, as well as Full Contact and K1, the German Open offered a wide range of competitions for participants and spectators alike. With 721 entries and nearly 500 athletes from 7 nations, ranging from Children to the Masterclass division, from Tatami disciplines to ring fights, the German Open offered something for everyone.

“The fighters of the German Open 2024 demonstrated WAKO kickboxing at its highest level. The interaction between organization, fighters, and referees was respectful and equitable!” explained Dominique Pieczinski, Vice President of WAKO Germany.
