The Spanish Kickboxing Federation (FEKM) organized their national championship from May 4-7, 2023. As part of the championship, a competition was held in the category of inclusive kick boxers.
The Spanish Federation works with inclusive groups in kickboxing clubs, and the category is very developed; among them are competitors of a wide spectrum of inclusivity, and this time among the medal winners was Antonio Romero Fuentes, a promising kickboxer who already holds a black belt in kickboxing I DAN.
This medal he won at the national championship gave him the motivation to apply for the II DAN at the end of this year.
WAKO President Roy Baker also attended the championship, and he awarded the champion Antonio a medal at the ceremony. Antonio’s trainer Jesus Muñoz Bellido is very proud of his competitor.
Working with inclusive competitors in Spanish kickboxing clubs is a project that started a few years ago, and a special and scientifically based program was developed to work with these groups, and the whole project has brought very positive results that President Jesus Eguia is particularly proud of.
