April 6 was declared as the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace (IDSDP) by the UN General Assembly in 2013. Every year on that day WAKO and WAKO Europe join the virtual campaign, showing commitment to the values which promote gender equality, peace education, intercultural and interreligious understanding, social inclusion and youth empowerment. Symbolically, we raise a white card – a blank piece of paper as a sign of our commitment to peace efforts worldwide.
