At The World Games in Birmingham on 15th July, IWGA (International World Games Association) President Mr. Jose Perurena was watching the bronze medal fight between Roman Shcherbatiuk (Ukr) vs Pirkka Suksi (Fin).
After fantastic, dynamic and very hard heavyweight fight, which was suddenly finished because of eye injury of Finnish fighter, Mr. Perurena wanted to take a photo with the bronze medal winner Roman Shcherbatiuk. WAKO President Roy Baker also congratulated Roman for the persistence and great performance during the fight.
Roman Shcherbatiuk was the one who participated at The World Games with special permition from the Ukranian government who allowed him to leave the country affected by war, where Roman is mobilized in the military unit.
