International Committee of Mediterranean Games added Kickboxing to the Mediterranean Games as a demonstration sport for the 2026 edition, which Italy will host in Taranto, in the Southern Puglia Region, from August 21 to September 3.
Kickboxing will feature with three disciplines: Point fighting, Kick light and K1, in the following categories:
Point Fighting
Male 63,69,74,79
Female 50,55,60,65
Kick Light
Male 57,63,69,74,79
Female 50,55,60,65,-70
K1
Male 54,57,60, 63.5, 67, 71,75, 81, 86, -91, +91
K1 Female 48,52,56,60,65,-70, +70.
Each participating country can register 1 athlete per category.
Competition standard is minimum 2 athletes per category.
