Before every continental championships judges and referees are mandatory obliged to attend a technical meeting where they refresh their knowledge, get the answers to the queries or unclear situations and update with all documents from their area of work.
Also, before every competition day they have a short brief to agree about the duties on every fighting area, as well to make a lists of the judges who are not on duty but attending the championships for education and improvement in the licence level.
As the officials responsible for enforcing the rules of kickboxing, they are most of all focused on protection of the athletes.
