The first ever championships in Para-kickboxing has been held on 5th November 2024, during the European Championships for seniors in Athens.
There was 13 participants coming from Spain competing in the specially adjusted categories for para kickboxing division and all of them presented with strength and heart showing true spirit of kickboxing.
It was not so long ago when we started this journey in WAKO during European Championships in Maribor, with kickboxers with Down syndrome presenting their skills. Since than, WAKO has established the rules, categories and in the cooperation with specialists for inclusive sport, has organized this event.
Today, with this championships with medals, it is a milestone of the development of our organization and our sport of kickboxing.
