During the kickboxing event Celtic Open held in Dublin on 14th June 2026 in the National Indoor Arena, the Safe Combat program team conducted Multiplier sport event as a part of Work Package 4 of the Erasmus program, in which WAKO Europe has been participating since 2025.
The Safe Combat team informed President Roy Baker about the project, which is dedicated to strengthening safeguarding, safety, and athlete well-being within kickboxing clubs.
The President Baker gave his full support to the development and implementation of the program across WAKO Europe kickboxing clubs, and said:
“I am very satisfied with the progress of the Safe Combat project so far and the strong commitment shown by all partners involved. I am particularly pleased with the work being done to strengthen athlete safeguarding, to understand the duty of care we all have when it comes to the well being of our members. I look forward to further improvements in this important area and I am confident that this project will continue to develop and eventually be fully implemented throughout WAKO.”
