WAKO Europe concluded kickboxing championships for youth

The WAKO European Kickboxing Championships for children, cadets and juniors Istanbul ’23 concluded on Sunday (2nd September) after eight days of thrilling actions in which the youngest kickboxers of Europe showcased their skills and new stars emerged as champions.

A total of 2015 athletes from 38 countries have competed in the Turkiye capital, provided enormous emotions in the field of play. Some of the participants emerged as multiple title winners, as they participated in double starts as well as point fighting team players.

After nearly half a million Youtube WAKO channel live broadcast visitors in all seven days, more than 28 published posts on social media platforms of WAKO Europe for all days of the competition and over 231.470 people reach on WAKO Europe Facebook page and 80.910 reach on Instagram, Europeans in Istanbul 2023 had already surpassed these numbers for a last  European Championships.

The popularity of the kickboxing  continues to grow.

WAKO Europe  President Istvan Kiraly said: “Together with the WAKO Organising Committee and LOC,  WAKO Europe have succeeded in organizing this event. It was a huge challenge, but we have seen full arena of young kickboxers which creates an electric atmosphere, we have had very high numbers of participating athletes, we have witnessed nail-biting performances, and at the end, we have succeeded with a high result“.
