The last WAKO European Cup in 2024, the fourth one, has successfully finished. For the first time WAKO Europe has such big event in Bulgaria and the organizer has proved the trust and showed great capabilities of hotels and sport hall in Plovdiv where the event took place.
The WAKO Europe President Istvan Kiraly was present at all four WAKO Cups, joined all activities and spent time with the promoters of the events to clarify all challenges and imperfections which were recorded, to be sure in the next year they improve as much as possible all conditions which were not only in the contract but also as the overall impression for the pleasure of athletes, coaches, referees and all participants of the events.
The event in Bulgaria was a pure success. Starting from the accommodation to the all facilities in the sport hall, impressive medals and trophy’s and special guests at the opening ceremony as government representatives, mayor of Plovdiv, Olympic gold medalist in karate Ivet Goranova, who was giving away medals on the first day and others, showed a great capacity this event will have in the future.
The numbers are: 1277 participants from 110 clubs at the Cup and plus 652 competitors in extra event TopTen Bulgaria Open.
